Blood Sugar Support
As most type 1 diabetics can attest to at some point during their blood sugar management journey, thinking like a pancreas and executing its functions isn’t as easy as “just take enough insulin for what you eat”!
As a type 1 diabetic myself, I’m extremely familiar with the constant tasks needed to maintain healthier blood glucose levels.
And as a father of 2 boys, this initially was also a bit more challenging to attain compared to when I was single!
Having somewhat normal blood sugars appears to be a rarity among the diabetic population.
How rare?
The CDC assessed that only 18.2% of American diabetics are able to maintain the following (1):
- A1C values less than 7.0%
- Blood pressure less than 140/90 mmHg
- Non-HDL cholesterol less than 130 mg/dL
- Being a nonsmoker
I currently average a 5.5% A1C (111 mg/dL; 6.17 mmol/L) and am still working on getting this lower!
Read on to find out what has helped me and countless of other diabetics attain, sustain, and maintain healthier blood sugars and the medical research that supports it.
